With the number twenty-five pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected Florida State cornerback Xavier Rhodes. This was the Vikings second first-round pick, and despite the rumor that they were looking to add an offensive playmaker, they ended up with two defensive players. Rhodes is a big cornerback at 6'1" and 210 pounds and should make up for the departure of Antoine Winfield. The Vikings play in a division with three premier quarterbacks and a plethora of talented wide receivers, so the move should help shore up their secondary in preparation for divisional tilts.
Meanwhile, the first round is almost over and several high profile quarterbacks are still on the board.
