With the number twenty-seven pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Houston Texans have selected Clemson wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins was a favorite amongst many Bengals fans hoping he would fall to the 37th pick, but the Texans snatched him up at the bottom of the first. In Houston, Hopkins will immediately come in and line up next to Andre Johnson, which will be a major boost for quarterback Matt Schaub.
The Texans have enjoyed a solid running game and stout defense recently, but have been held back by their passing game, ending their playoff hopes in two consecutive years. Now, armed with an improved wide receiver corps, the Texans will certainly be one of the teams to beat in the AFC.
