With the number thirty-one pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys have selected Wisconsin center Travis Frederick. In recent years, the Cowboys had seemingly labored under the idea that quarterback Tony Romo didn't need a viable offensive line to protect him, but they have finally started to rectify that. The Cowboys originally held the seventeenth pick but traded all the way back to 31 with the San Fransisco 49ers.
Frederick is another in the long line of solid Wisconsin linemen and should come in and start immediately at the center spot due to the condition of Dallas' offensive line. Frederick is a bit of a reach, but is a strong and tough player nevertheless.
