Marvin Lewis On Andre Smith's Absence: He Has Stuff He Needs To Take Care Of

Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith was the only known absentee during the Bengals practice on Tuesday.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith was one of several offensive linemen that didn't participate during Tuesday's practice, which kicked off the third phase of the team's offseason training program. Unlike Andrew Whitworth and Trevor Robinson, who are rehabilitating various injuries, Smith was simply not in Cincinnati with the rest of the team.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters that Smith "has to deal with some stuff he has to take care of".

The Bengals had a mishmash of players on the first-team unit, with Anthony Collins filling in at right tackle, Tanner Hawkinson replacing Andrew Whitworth at left tackle and free agent acquisition Mike Pollak subbing for Clint Boling. Dennis Roland didn't participate on Tuesday.

The Bengals will resume OTA practices on Wednesday and Thursday before picking it up against next week.
