Bengals cornerback Adam Jones tweeted on Monday that he was arrested for trying to defend himself.
Just got arrested for protecting myself, I will not let this break me or change what I have work so hard for ....

Admittedly we're not exactly sure what to do with this. Maybe he's cracking a wise-joke against all of those football websites that are obsessed with such things. But then it's Adam Jones. He's been busted before, and granted, for big and little things and even at least one misunderstanding.
But knowing how Jones is perceived, we doubt this would be something Jones offered tongue-in-cheek.
As of this posting, we're not sure why or what's going on, so we'll offer "developing" as a result.
Jones was last arrested in July 2011 after an incident at a local bar, charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Jones plead guilty, paid $250 and was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and one year probation.
