Between the conclusion of the offseason training program on Thursday and the start of training camp at the end of July, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton is planning to host his wide receivers "near his Dallas home", writes Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com.
"If that's where everyone is, that's where I'll be," Marvin Jones told Bengals.com.
Currently the Bengals wide receivers roster opens with A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu, Jones and Andrew Hawkins, with a handful of hopefuls looking to claim the final two spots on a projected six-man wide receiver roster. Cincinnati could take seven, like they did in 2012, naming Ryan Whalen as the seventh member of that year's squad prior to the 2012 regular season opener against Baltimore.
Dalton told Bengals.com that "he'll try to get as many receivers as possible to Dallas", but looks for the chemistry that something like that invites.
"These guys have another year under their belt in the system. We all do, so we've got to make sure we're better," Dalton said. "They understand what they're doing and I'm comfortable with them."
