WhoDey Weekly interview with Marvin Lewis

We had the opportunity to interact with the Bengals at the Taste of the NFL event presented by the Freestore Foodbank. Here is our conversation with Marvin Lewis.

USA TODAY Sports

Have you ever thought to yourself "I wonder if Marvin Lewis ever gets tired of being called a defensive minded coach"? After all, he did win a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens as a defensive coordinator.

At the time Michael Silver had this to say about the Super Bowl win:

"If ever a man proved his worth as a future head coach, Marvin Lewis did it with this complete domination of the Giants in their 16 possessions: Punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, interception, punt, interception, interception, punt, interception, punt, punt, punt, end of game"

So when I had the chance to interview Coach Lewis I asked the question: Everyone calls you a defensive guy coming from Baltimore, how excited are you for the possibilities of Tyler Eifert on Offense?

Marvin interjected in the middle stating that he has been a head coach for 11 years, and a Quarterback before anything. He then went on to say of course he was excited about the possibilities for Tyler to contribute.

I also had the chance to ask him about how the new guys are integrating into the team. Take a listen to the interview. WhoDeyWeekly and Marvin Lewis

Presented by the Freestore Foodbank this was an opportunity for fans to connect with the coaches, players and front office for the Cincinnati Bengals.
