Bengals starting free safety Reggie Nelson and starting cornerback Leon Hall, who had both been limited in earlier practices, returned to team drills during Monday's OTAs, according to Geoff Hobson. Both made their presence known quickly.
Nelson was able to jump a pass intended to rookie tight end Tyler Eifert on a third-and-long pass from Andy Dalton and intercept it. According to Hobson, he jumped the route so quickly, he "had time to point at Eifert with a chortle before catching the ball."
Hall, playing opposite of Terence Newman, didn't do anything as spectacular, but he did battle with the team's superstar wide receiver A.J. Green, forcing an incompletion on a pass thrown to the sidelines.
The team's third cornerback, Adam Jones, is still out with a calf injury and in his place is Brandon Ghee.
With Nelson and Hall back in the fold, the Bengals have two of their best pass defenders back in the secondary. Hopefully they're able to stay healthy and on the field.
