Bengals announce opportunity to purchase Packers and Steelers single-game tickets

Expecting high demand for both games, the Cincinnati Bengals have announced an opportunity for fans to purchase single-game tickets to the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Friday an opportunity to purchase single-game tickets against the Green Bay Packers (Sept. 22) and the Pittsburgh Steelers, scheduled for ESPN’s Monday Night Football, at 8:40 p.m. on Sept. 16.

To register, fans should go to the home page of Bengals.com and click on the image in the upper right, an orange rectangle with the Steeler and Packer logos. Instructions will be provided on how to sign up and request numbers of tickets desired for either or both games. Registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on June 20, and all registrants will have an equal chance, with time of registration not a factor.

In the event that requests exceed the supply of available tickets, ticket opportunity winners will be selected by a random process.

Regardless of whether a random selection process is needed, all approved registrants will be notified on June 24 of their chance to purchase tickets. On that day they will be provided passwords, which they can use on June 27 to make their actual purchases.

“We want to point out that Pittsburgh and Green Bay tickets are already available to everyone without registration," Bengals ticket sales manager Andrew Brown said, "through full-season tickets or Ticket Packs.

"But," Brown added, "for those desiring single-game purchases for these high-demand games, this process affords the most fair and convenient chance. It eliminates the possibility of long waits due to everyone attempting to purchase at the same ‘first opportunity.’ Some of our fans may be familiar with a similar process the Reds use for their Opening Day game. That has worked well for Reds fans, and we think our fans will agree it’s the right vehicle for these sales."

It is anticipated that single-game sales information for the remaining games on the 2013 Bengals home schedule will be distributed later this month.
