Hard Knocks Remains Eerily Quiet

Things remain quiet on the Hard Knocks front this year. So we take a look at some moments when the Bengals were featured in 2009.

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider told the National Football Post on Thursday that his team doesn't want the distractions that come with HBO's Hard Knocks, a reality show that follows an NFL team during training camp. The San Diego Chargers have also announced that they're not interested.

In fact the quiet rumor-mill has been so quiet that it's reaching a point that Hard Knocks may not happen this year -- or at the very least gaining approval from a team that most NFL fans don't care for. According to Awful Announcing, among the previous five participants, four were announced during the month of May with the Kansas City Chiefs being the latest on June 2, 2007.

The Cincinnati Bengals, who participated in 2009, were announced on May 15. A few highlights:

We were originally going to say on this posting that while the Bengals probably won't do it again, would you want to see them on Hard Knocks again. Then we concluded that everyone would do a Steve Austin-like, "Hell yea."
