Bengals announce Otis Hudson signing

The Cincinnati Bengals invited former guard Otis Hudson on Saturday, signing him soon after a workout.

After visiting with former offensive guard Otis Hudson on Saturday, the Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they've signed the former fifth-rounder. Hudson is a second-year player out of Eastern Illinois who was on the team's practice squad in '10 and '12, and was a game-day inactive in seven games in 2011.

The signing is directly in response to Tanner Hawkinson, who suffered an ankle injury against the Atlanta Falcons. Expected to miss some time, and definitely Saturday's game against the Tennessee Titans, Hawkinson will spend this week facing rehabilitation once the protective boot on his leg is removed.

Hudson is a camp body to help with the snaps towards the end of the game with the bubble players, or guys otherwise not expected to make the 53-man roster.
