Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green may make his return to the field this Wednesday, according to Bengals.com. If he does practice, it will be his first session since twisting his knee after landing awkwardly during the team's first training camp practice nearly three weeks ago. Green was one of nine players that didn't bother making the trip to Atlanta to continue rehabilitation efforts in Cincinnati.
Even if he does practice, Green will only have three practices (Wednesday and Thursday) before the team hosts the Tennessee Titans this Saturday; and figure that Friday's practice will mostly be a walk-through. Based on Marvin Lewis' preference that players practice before playing games, I highly doubt the Bengals play Green this weekend.
Again. Even if he returns this Wednesday, the team will take an extremely cautious approach and once they're comfortable, we see the Bengals playing Green in a limited capacity against the Dallas Cowboys during the annual dress rehearsal in week three.
