All of a sudden, the wide receiver group for the Cincinnati Bengals is looking pretty thin. At one point this was one of the deeper position groups on the team, but with injuries to Pro Bowler A.J. Green and slot man Andrew Hawkins, the team has pressed others into further action at practice. Now, we have to lump second-year man Marvin Jones into the list of the walking wounded.
Jones didn't practice on Thursday of this week and was out once again on Friday. He was, however, seen doing some side work on Friday, which is a good sign.
Marvin Jones out again but doesn't look like big deal

That would be Peerman; MJones running on side

It's a relief that Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com believes that it isn't a big issue plaguing Jones. It sounds like he could be returning to practice soon and could be active for next week's preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons, though there hasn't been any official word on that as of yet.
Still, the sooner that these receivers get back, the better. According to the team's recently-released depth chart, it places three of the top six wide receivers out of practice on Friday.
