Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap will miss his third straight preseason game when the team takes on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Saturday night. Dunlap has been undergoing concussion protocols for three weeks and only began making his way back to practice this week.
It was believed that Dunlap had a chance, but the fourth-year defensive end was growing concerned that the limited practice was hurting his overall strength. More importantly, the team is far more cautious when it comes to players dealing with concussions.
Wallace Gilberry will start at left defensive end.
Andrew Whitworth is also out, joined by cornerback Brandon Ghee, safety George Iloka, linebacker Sean Porter, offensive guard Otis Hudson, wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, linebacker Brandon Joiner and the three players on PUP (Zac Robinson, Chis Pressley, Bernard Scott).
Taylor Mays will start at strong safety for the injured Iloka and Collins will step in for the rehabilitating Anthony Collins.
