The Bengals made the necessary moves to get their roster to 75 players along with the rest of the NFL.
The big news surrounds linebacker Sean Porter who suffered a torn labrum this preseason. There was speculation that he could play with this injury as players have in the past. However, in moving to IR it is clear he is not going to see the field this season.
Also waived were offensive lineman Otis Hudson and Jason Weaver.
Linebacker Brandon Joiner was waived as an injury and could join the Bengals IR if not claimed by another team.
Fullback Chris Pressley and quarterback Zac Robinson were both placed on the pup. This probably alleviates my fear of having to watch Pressley get cut twice on Hard Knocks. They are both eligible to return to the Bengals after week 6.
The team must make more cuts to trim the roster to 53 players by Saturday at 4 p.m.
