With the deadline requiring teams to trim their roster to the 53-man maximum this Saturday, every NFL team will play their fourth and final preseason game this Thursday. And joy to the world, there are two national games on tap. The New England Patriots will host the New York Giants (7:30 p.m.) and San Diego is scheduled to host the San Francisco 49ers at 10:00 p.m. Both games will be shown on the NFL Network -- the latter joined in progress.
You're thinking, what use could I possibly have for those games. The Bengals are playing. Nothing else matters. For those of us in Cincinnati and Dayton, it'll give us something to do because the Bengals preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts will be on tape delay. Air time on channel 12 will begin at 11:35 p.m. Dayton's WRGT-TV (Ch. 45) will begin their tape delay at 11:00 p.m.
The game will be live in Columbus (Ch. 6), Lima (Ch. 35), and Louisville (Ch. 41).
