The Cincinnati Bengals ended the preseason with a 27-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts, requiring 22 moves on the roster to get within the league mandated 53-man roster by Saturday's 6 p.m. deadline.
At this point, we know of nine that (or are rumored to be) being made. We'll update this post as a general catch-all as more rumored transactions take place.
LB Emmanuel Lamur: Expected to go on Injured Reserve after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. Once Lamur is officially placed on season-ending IR, it's one less move that the Bengals will have to make.
DE DeQuin Evans: Placed on suspension after a second violation of the league's policy on performance enhancing substances. Will count as a roster exemption.
FB John Conner: Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer sent out a tweet Saturday morning that Conner was informed that he didn't make the 53-man roster.
WR Cobi Hamilton: Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com reported that the rookie wide receiver was being waived. If he clears waivers, the team will most likely sign him to the practice squad.
LB J.K. Schaffer: Will go through waivers after the linebacker was unexpectedly released -- unexpected because he was projected as the sixth linebacker. A likely practice squad candidate if he clears waivers. He has since confirmed the release.
OT Dennis Roland: According to PFT, the Bengals released Roland.
RB Dan Herron: According to PFT, the Bengals released Herron, who is eligible for the practice squad if he clears waivers.
LB Bruce Taylor: According to Aaron Wilson with National Football Post, the Bengals released rookie linebacker Bruce Taylor.
RB Bernard Scott: We have reservations to add obvious transactions (otherwise we'd include ten more), but it's clear that Scott will either transition to the in-season PUP list, IR, or be released.
