The Cincinnati Bengals informed the local media on the players not traveling to Atlanta to play the Falcons this Thursday, which includes players like A.J. Green, Andrew Hawkins, and Brandon Thompson; all of whom suffered training camp injuries. Andrew Whitworth, who is reconditioning and strengthening his surgically repaired knee, is staying in Cincinnati.
Larry Black (ankle), Chris Pressley (PUP), Tyrone Goard (concussion), Alex Smith (knee), and Reid Fragel (knee) will also be staying behind. Black suffered the team's first major injury, who will be sidelines for the entire season. Goard suffered a concussion last Sunday, his first day after being activated from PUP, and hasn't practiced since. Smith and Fragel sat during Friday's practice with a knee.
The Bengals will practice for about an hour on Sunday starting at 12:45 p.m. They're traveling to Atlanta next week with a couple of non-live practices before the Falcons host the Bengals in the preseason opener Thursday night (ESPN).
