It appears Dontay Moch signed somewhere, but not with the Bengals. During our Monday Morning Third Down Running back posting that featured Mock in our talking points, one reader pointed out that Moch's twitter account is hinting that he found a new team.
On an instagram posting at an airport Sunday evening, Moch writes "Headed to a new start! Y'all ain't ready."
Moch, Cincinnati's third-round pick during the 2011 NFL draft, led the team in quarterback sacks (3.0) for the second time in as many preseasons -- he led the team with 3.5 in '12. However, migraines, a foot injury, and a four-game suspension last year has limited him to only five defensive snaps in three years with the Bengals.
There was a belief that Moch, once he cleared waivers, was headed to Cincinnati's practice squad. However, he wasn't one of the seven practice squad players that Cincinnati announced on Sunday and the team is reportedly reserving their final spot for quarterback Greg McElroy.
It's possible that Moch hasn't signed with another team's practice squad until that team completes a physical.
