In the wee hours of Monday morning, Bengals cornerback Adam Jones was issued a citation by local police for "disorderly conduct". Jones was a passenger in a car that was driven by his wife and she had been pulled over for DUI, as the vehicle was reported to be going 60 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.
According to State Patrol Lt. Anne Ralston, the issuing officer, put the following report on Jones' behavior and why she issued Jones the citation:
Ralston said Jones said something during the traffic stop that was "likely to be offensive or to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm to persons of ordinary sensibilities."
Other reports show that Jones made offensive comments to Lt. Ralston while intoxicated, thus the citation. According to reports, Jones has paid the $130 fine associated with it and looks to be hoping to put the issue behind him. The Bengals' cornerback still has an October 7th hearing for a summer assault charge and depending on the outcome there, he could be facing league sanctions. This situation may or may not play into any league infractions, if any are given.
