Many fans are nervous about the state of the offensive line with Andrew Whitworth not dressing for practice all week. Most of us thought this was a sure sign that he would miss the Bengals regular season opener against the Bears this Sunday. But then he did this.
So this marks the first time all week that Whitworth has actually been dressed. Will he go Sunday? Only time will tell ...
So is this good news? Is there a chance the anchor of the line will be ready to play on Sunday? I always thought there was a very good chance Whit would play. This is the same guy that boasts 68 consecutive starts. This is five years of football my friends.
And then the trick was realized.
Well, false alarm on Whitworth. He's attending practice, but now without jersey/helmet. Sure left the locker room with them. #Bengals
So it seems Whitworth may still be sidelined with an injury. This is later confirmed by several on twitter and it seems that Whit probably won't play on Sunday.
Anthony Collins will have his hands full with Julius Peppers but I am confident that he can handle the load.
