The Cincinnati Bengals won't have backup guard Mike Pollak and cornerback Brandon Ghee when the team travels to Chicago this weekend. During the team's final injury report of the week, both were listed as out. Pollak is dealing with a knee while Ghee is still undergoing concussion protocols.
Andrew Whitworth wasn't quite listed as out, but he's doubtful. Historically speaking, when a player is doubtful after not practicing for the entire week, they won't play. As we said last week, you might as well write Whitworth as out until he's not. Well, he's not. But our money is safe on the bet that he won't play.
Carlos Dunlap, Devon Still, Andre Smith and Dre Kirkpatrick provided some good news, listed as probable and likely to play. Dunlap was the biggest concern having missed most of the team's training camp and the entire preseason. Smith was dealing with a tweaked knee, but practiced fully this week. Kirkpatrick recently passed concussion tests and began practicing. If he doesn't play against Chicago, it won't be because of his injury.
