During the Aqib Talib's 33-yard interception return for a touchdown, wide receiver A.J. Green took a significant shot on a quick slant that was thrown a bit high.
Green told reporters, following Cincinnati's 37-28 win over the Denver Broncos, that he suffered a bruised right biceps and that x-rays came back negative. He's confident that he'll be able to play next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"If I can go, I'm going. No matter what it is," Green said via ESPN. "We're playing for something big. We're playing for home-field advantage."
This is only the second time in his career that Green has finished the game without a reception. He was shutout against the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year, though he suffered a toe injury and only played six snaps.
The Bengals head to Pittsburgh this weekend for the regular season finale. The winner will be crowned AFC North Champions and, depending on other scenarios, appear likely as the No. 3 seed (NOTE: Pittsburgh cannot advance to the No. 2 seed). Cincinnati has an opportunity to advance as the second seed.
