Terence Newman had a game to forget vs. the Broncos, but the Bengals were able to win in spite of one of the worst performances the 36-year-old has ever endured.
Against the best group of receivers any NFL team has, Newman simply could not keep up with Denver's dynamic duo of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
Terence Newman allowed 130 yards receiving on five catches last night and also a pass interference. Benched late in the third quarter.— Josh Kirkendall (@Josh_Kirkendall) December 23, 2014
While Newman got beat straight up on several plays, he was also the victim of one of the better catches you'll see in the NFL this year.
Side note: I was at that game Monday night with my dad, who I was actually playing against in one of our fantasy leagues. I was up 4 going into this game, but he had Sanders, so he pretty much spanked me like Sanders did Newman.
