With 5:43 remaining in the first quarter, Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins had an Atkins-like play. The situation was first down from the Browns 30-yard line.
Brian Hoyer takes the snap and turns to hand the football off to running back Terrance West. Geno Atkins, from the three-technique, quickly disregards right guard John Greco and drops Hoyer from behind for a four-yard loss.
With his quick and strong hand placement, Atkins used his speed and instinct to quickly break from the block.
Cleveland wouldn't pick up a first down and eventually punted.
Atkins would eventually leave the game with a "slight hyperextension of his surgically repaired knee". It was defined as minor.
The fifth-year tackle finished with 36 snaps and one tackle (the one listed above). Not a great game.
