Tecmo Bowl Futures: Bengals vs. Buccaneers

You can go anywhere on the web and find what the experts think the outcome of any game will be. I have my own expert. She was born in 1991 and has had my heart ever since. Her name, Tecmo Super Bowl.

The Bengals continue their long road trip with a game in Tampa Bay. This is not a leisurely trip to Florida. The Bengals want to continue their winning ways and put an exclamation point on this three-game tour with another win. Let's look to the Tecmo predicting engine to see what will happen on Sunday.

The Buccaneers start with the football and attack the Bengals with the running game. When they do finally attempt a pass it is intercepted by the Bengals' Terrence Newman.

Andy Dalton can not find an open receiver and eventually throws an interception himself.

The Bengals defense plays tough to stop the Tampa offense from moving the ball. Vincent Rey gets to the quarterback for a sack and the Buccaneers are forced to a long field goal try.

No Good.

At the end of the first quarter there is still no score.

The Bengals' offense still looks terrible as they fail to complete a pass on the next drive. They are forced to punt the ball to Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay fumbles on their attempt to run the ball and the Bengals recover.

However, back to back sacks forces the Bengals to attempt a field goal of their own.

Mike Nugent misses the kick.

Geno Atkins shuts the door on anything the Buccaneers were going to try before the half.

Midway through the game, there is still no score.

The Bengals start with the ball in the second half and immediately go to work. A long pass to Mohamed Sanu sets up Andy Dalton and the Bengals deep in Tampa territory. Then, Dalton finds Giovani Bernard in the end zone for the score.

Pinned deep on their own side of the field, the Buccaneers get stopped in the end zone for the safety.

But, Dalton misfires and tosses a pick to give the Buccaneers the ball back.

At the end of three, the Bengals are on top 9 - 0.

Tampa Bay comes out in the fourth quarter and easily drives down the field. Bobby Rainey trots into the endzone to put the Buccaneers on the board.

The Bengals' offense can't do anything and is forced to punt the ball back to Tampa.

The Buccaneers move the ball well into field goal range and attempt the game winner as time is running out.

Thankfully, it sails wide left.

The Bengals squeak out a win. WhoDey!
