Ravens take 21-20 lead after Andy Dalton fumble

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton fumbled the football while being assaulted from Haloti Ngata. Dalton lost the football and Baltimore eventually scored a touchdown to take a fourth quarter lead.

The Cincinnati Bengals had control. They had it. Total control. Leading 20-14 with 6:49 remaining in the third quarter, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton fakes the handoff and appears to be headed for a bootleg to the left. Instead Haloti Ngata hits Dalton, who had the football in his left hand and lost the ball. Was he trying to throw it?

Linebacker Daryl Smith scooped up the football and returned it 39 yards to the Bengals eight-yard line. Lorenzo Taliaferro diced through the Bengals defense to score an eight-yard touchdown, giving Baltimore a 21-20 lead with 6:31 remaining in the game.

On Cincinnati's next possession, Andy Dalton's pass is deflected/fumbled after Mohamed Sanu has brief possession of the football -- the official scoreboard called it an interception.
