Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko "should be OK", head coach Marvin Lewis told team beat writers during his Monday afternoon press conference. Coach added that "doctors believe" he "should be fine this weekend" when Cincinnati returns home, after a three-game road trip, to host Pittsburgh in a critical division game.

Peko, who sported a sling Sunday night after Cincinnati's 14-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, told reporters that he had suffered a hyperextended elbow. The injury forced him to sit in the second half of the Bengals' Week 13 win. He played 13 snaps on defense Sunday and was replaced by Brandon Thompson, who played well against the run with a PFF grade of +0.4.

Peko hasn't missed a game since battling knee injuries in the final five games of the regular season in 2009. He eventually returned against the Jets in the first round of the playoffs. He has started 76 straight regular season games and 80 if we include postseason games.
