Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones is undergoing concussion protocols, at least per reports coming out of the clubhouse on Wednesday. ESPN beat writer Coley Harvey asks a pertinent question:
Adam Jones is on concussion protocol. Remember, he played all of Sunday's game. Gotta wonder when the concussion happened. On one of PRs?

Good question.
The Buccaneers have fourth and 20 from the Bengals 46-yard line with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Quarterback Josh McCown hits Mike Evans for a 13-yard gain. It's the final play by Tampa Bay's offense... a play that Adam Jones participated in.
Jones wasn't very active on the play and trailed Evans before Leon Hall made the game-winning tackle -- meaning that he didn't suffer it during the final play of the game.
So yea, it's a good question, Coley.
As for when he suffered the concussion, we have a few suggestions:
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the team checked Jones for a concussion after taking both shots above on punt return. "Jones denied having any symptoms and team doctors found him to test negative for them," wrote Paul Dehner Jr.
ESPN adds that:
Trainers believe Jones' injury came after a hard hit in the second quarter. It was around the time of the suspected injury that Jones was first checked by team doctors. He didn't exhibit any symptoms that would have kept him out, a team official said. So Jones continued playing. Later in the game, the injury spotter who sits in the press box each game as part of the league's recently stepped-up concussion efforts suggested that Jones needed to be evaluated again. It was at that time that the independent, non-team-affiliated neurologist examined him. The independent doctor, too, found no signs of concussion symptoms.
