Earlier this week, Bleacher Report initially reported that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had fractured the wrist on his throwing hand against the New Orleans Saints. The team and quarterback outright denied it and that Bleacher Report report was never confirmed nor verified -- that author is sticking to his guns, which is honorable if not completely irrelevant (and dated).
Per Jason La Canfora with CBS Sports, Roethlisberger is only dealing with a bruised hand.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a bruised hand during Sunday's loss to New Orleans, which bothered him for a period in the first half of that game. Roethlisberger did not suffer any broken bones, contrary to a report, and he was able to practice fully and looked good in preparations this week, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.
Well, he sat during Wednesday's practice... like an hour after saying that he was fine. However, they termed his day off as veteran's rest because they were practicing indoors (turf) and Roethlisberger had a rough game against New Orleans.
