For nearly four quarters, Jermaine Gresham tried his best to overcome a back injury and make an impact in the Bengals' biggest game of the year.
At the 11:14 mark of the fourth quarter, Gresham hauled in a two-yard pass and fought through two Steelers defenders to get three more yards and into the end zone for the score. However, Gresham remained on the ground holding his knee in pain, and he was eventually helped off the field by two trainers.
To that point, Gresham had been in and out of the lineup with a lower back injury that at one point had his return to the game deemed 'questionable'.
If he's out the rest of they and maybe even the playoffs, Kevin Brock is the next tight end, but h-back Ryan Hewitt has gotten more run there too in recent weeks. Hopefully, Gresham is at least able to return in time for the wild-card round of the playoffs.
