The East-West Shrine game is the longest running college all-star game in the country, which has proven to be a launching point for many professional football players. Last year, more than 100 players from the East-West shrine game signed with teams and there are currently more than 275 players in the NFL that played in this game. For many of us, it's the launching point for the predraft process.

Practices for the game, which will be played on Jan. 18 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, began on Monday.

Cincinnati Bengals scouting consultant, and former Ohio State head coach, John Cooper was one of a handful high-profile front office people on hand, including Bears head coach Marc Trestman, Redskins general manager Bruce Allen, Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff, former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli.

The Bengals selected two players that participated in last year's Shrine game: offensive linemen T.J. Johnson and Tanner Hawkinson.
