Bengals cornerback Terence Newman won't play this weekend, recovering from a sprained MCL that he suffered against the Indianapolis Colts in week 14. He's missed every game since and only began practicing on Friday of this week. However, there's enough optimism that if the Bengals advance to the division round, he could play.
Second-year cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft, is expected to start opposite of Adam Jones.
Tight ends Tyler Eifert and Jermaine Gresham are a go; Eifert is recovering from a neck injury that he sustained in week 16 while Gresham has been dealing with a hamstring. Both practiced on Friday and entered the weekend as questionable.
