There's a chance that Cincinnati could lose both of their coordinators in the span of a few days.
Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer has emerged as the favorite for the Minnesota Vikings, who are looking for a new head coach after firing Leslie Frazier, also a former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator. Zimmer interviewed with the Vikings on Wednesday and is expected to chat with the Tennessee Titans on Thursday.
The Vikings have also interviewed Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Arizona defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton.
They've requested interviews with San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman, San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase and Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.
There's a chance that if Zimmer leaves, he could take some of Cincinnati's assistants with him. According to some reports, Hue Jackson would become an offensive coordinator and linebackers coach Paul Guenther figured to join Zimmer's staff as the defensive coordinator. However Gruden's hiring in Washington has forced Cincinnati's hand, who appear to have tabbed Jackson as their next offensive coordinator.
