Rey Maualuga suffers hamstring injury

The Cincinnati Bengals may have lost their starting middle linebacker when Rey Maualuga exited the game with a hamstring injury midway into the fourth quarter.

With 6:04 remaining in the game against Carolina, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton pitched to running back Darrin Reaves. Following his blocks off the right edge, Reaves sheds several attempted tackles before he's stopped after the nine-yard gain.

Carlos Dunlap and Rey Maualuga laid on the field momentarily. Dunlap got up. Maualuga didn't.

The cart picked up Maualuga, who was laying on his back with his hands covering his face, to take him into the lockerroom. Cincinnati announced that their starting middle linebacker was doubtful to return with a hamstring injury.
