The Bengals got good and bad news on A.J. Green following Sunday's tie with the Panthers. Green was held out of the Week 6 contest due to a lingering toe injury.
Thankfully, Green does not need surgery to fix the damaged toe, but he already expects to miss Cincinnati's Week 7 game against the Colts in Indy. However, head coach Marvin Lewis said Monday that Green has a chance to play this week while calling his injury "day to day", per multiple sources.
Prior to facing the Panthers, Cincinnati's final injury report had Green listed as "questionable" to play, which technically means there's a 50/50 chance he plays. If that injury status was true, Green would probably have a decent chance to play vs. Indianapolis. He will probably be listed as "questionable" again on the final report before facing the Colts, but don't get your hopes up on him playing in this crucial match-up of division leaders.
