The Bengals today made two practice squad moves on Thursday, the most notable of which was re-signing rookie LB Khairi Fortt.
Fortt (6-2, 240) initially joined the Bengals on Oct. 7, added to the roster as a waiver acquisition from New Orleans. He was inactive for this past Sunday’s game vs. Carolina. He was waived from the roster on Tuesday of this week. It's been an interesting month for Fortt to say the least, but the fact that the Bengals got him back on their roster in some capacity suggests they see some promise in him.
The team also released second-year G Jeff Baca of UCLA. He had joined the practice squad on Oct. 8. Baca, who appears to be suited as a guard-center type of player, was selected No. 196 (sixth round) in the 2013 NFL draft after a successful career at UCLA -- he made 45 starts for the Bruins with 25 at guard and 20 at tackle.
