UPDATE

The Bengals have now declared Vontaze Burfict (out) for the rest of the contest.

The Bengals can't seem to catch a break on the injury front, and neither can Vontaze Burfict. The stud linebacker was forced from Cincinnati's game against Indianapolis with what was called a neck injury. He suffered the injury on a tackle of Colts QB Andrew Luck.

Burfict was injured during a goal line stand in which the Bengals were able to hold the Colts to a field goal, and the team announced his return as "questionable". He didn't appear dazed or particularly slow to get up, a sign that the injury could have been related to his two concussions suffered in Weeks 1 and 2.

After the Bengals offense went three-and-out on the ensuing possession, Burfict did not return to the field for the Bengal's next defensive possession. On that drive, Indy drove down the field and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by Ahmad Bradshaw.

The Colts took a 10-0 lead after Burfict departed from the game.
