UPDATE

The Minnesota Vikings will be without Teddy Bridgewater vs. the Green Bay Packers, leaving Christian Ponder to start.

Week 5 of the 2015 NFL season opens Thursday with the 2-2 Green Bay Packers hosting the 2-2 Minnesota Vikings in a classic NFC North rivalry game. The game figures to be a high-scoring affair, at least for the Packers, fresh off a 38-17 beat down of the Bears in Chicago.

As for the Vikings, new starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater helped Minnesota run by the Atlanta Falcons, 41-25, in Week 4. However, Teddy was forced from the game after suffering an ankle injury that looks like it will sideline him for the Thursday Night Football game on CBS.

When Teddy left last week's game, Christian Ponder was thrust into action, and it looks like that will be the case this week vs. the Packers. Last year, Ponder appeared in nine games for the Vikings and completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 1,648 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. He added four rushing scores.
