Boomer Esiason Named Feline League Commissioner

Beloved former Bengal named Commissioner of Feline Football League by the Hallmark Channel.

Dan Kitwood

As you might expect from the Hallmark Channel, they have created a new football league that oozes with cuteness. To run this league they chose former Bengal, Boomer Esiason as commissioner.

According to the Hallmark Channel:

Esiason will serve as spokesperson for the FFL, which includes a Scouting Combine, draft, season games and playoffs that lead up to the biggest feline showdown in history, "Kitten Bowl II," premiering Su-purr Bowl Sunday, February 1, 2015.

The league is a celebration of pet adoption according to the media release and why not have a former Bengals player as the decision maker? I think with the way the Bengals performed this past Sunday, they show the kind of grit that would be welcome in a league comprised of kittens.

"Funny cat video's" are one of the most popular searches on YouTube and using that popularity to encourage animal adoptions is a good thing.

I am not sure how the league will be run, allowing for a full season of games to figure out what kitten based team deserves the honor of playing in the championship, but I am on the edge of my seat awaiting the details from Commissioner Esiason. Hopefully he will have a better grasp on conduct than the NFL commissioner does.

In a nice break from the doom and gloom of the current state of the Bengals, here is a video for your enjoyment:
