The Cincinnati Bengals will once again be without starting linebacker Vontaze Burfict. This, following a scope on his knee Wednesday morning, head coach Marvin Lewis revealed in a meeting with the media.
Lewis says Burfict has a shot to play against New Orleans. Thought was just a bruise, deeper look showed problem.

Burfict will obviously miss the Bengals' Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and with a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Cleveland Browns on a short week thereafter, it's easy to see why Tez is expected to miss at least two games.
Assuming he misses those two contests, that will make four games Tez has missed this year due to injury. A concussion held him out of Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons and week 5 vs. the New England Patriots.
Starting in his place will likely be Vincent Rey.
