The Bengals departed for Foxborough Saturday, and there were several injured players who made the trip, meaning there's still a chance the play vs. the Patriots.
Linebacker Vontaze Burfict and wide receiver Marvin Jones made the trip, despite being listed as "doubtful" on the final injury report. Burfict "officially" did not practice this week, though he was seen working Friday with his helmet on.
Jones tweaked his ankle earlier in the week, and it is believed to be unrelated to the broken foot that held him out of action for the past two months.
Though the odds are still against either playing, the fact that they made the trip is encouraging. Many teams leave injured players at home if they know said players aren't going to play.
Cue the Jim Carrey.
Still, this is what the Bengals gameday in active list will probably look like:
LB Vontaze Burfict
RG Kevin Zeitler
RB Rex Burkhead
WR Marvin Jones
DE Will Clarke
DT Brandon Thompson
LB Sean Porter
