NFL Week 5 saw stadiums throughout the league decked in pink for the first Sunday of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many of those teams, in one way or another, were showing support for Devon Still and his daughter, Leah.
Leah is battling pediatric cancer, and the support Devon and his family have received, both from the Bengals and from around the league, has been well-documented.
That said, the Patriots did something very unique and very awesome in support of Devon and Leah: Patriots cheerleaders dawned Still's jersey during a timeout, and NBC cameras caught them and Devon beautifully.
It was beautiful to watch, and it helped ease the pain of Cincinnati playing its worst game of the season.
Watching the Bengals lose 43-17 was unfortunate, but this act of kindness easily made up for it. Though the Bengals were the losers and the Patriots were winners in this contest, both teams were winners in the game of life.
