The Week 12 contest between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets will be moved to a different location.
Kickoff was originally scheduled for 1 p.m ET Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium but a massive snowstorm in Buffalo this week is not only causing the game to be postponed, but also to be moved to a different location.
The game will be moved to Monday night at Ford Field in Detroit, and the game will now kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Although it's rare for NFL games to switch locations due to weather, it's not without precedent. Two Minnesota Vikings homes games had to be moved to other stadiums after the weight of snow caused the Metrodome roof to collapse in 2010. The Vikings played the Giants in Detroit in Week 14 and then hosted the Bears at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium in Week 15.
It takes a lot for the league to postpone or move a game, but the weather conditions in Buffalo are simply proving too extreme for the Bills' matchup with the Jets to be played at its original location.
