The Bengals continue their whirlwind tour of the country with stop number two in Houston this weekend. They shocked many people with the way they handled the Saints in their dome and face another foe this week in a stadium where they have not had much success. We once again turn to the Tecmo prediction machine to get a view into how we can expect this game to go.
The Bengals elect to receive the opening kickoff and instantly attack with the passing game.
The Texans defense holds and Mike Nugent is sent out for a field goal try.
No Good.
On the Texans first possession, Arian Foster loses the football and it is scooped up be the Bengals Carlos Dunlap. He stumbles all the way to the paint for a Bengals touchdown.
Rey Maualuga gets a sack to start the Texans second possession, but Ryan Mallett is able to move the ball down field through the air.
The Texans need to settle for a field goal try and are on the board with 3.
At the end of the first, the Bengals lead 7 - 3.
The Bengals drive to start the second quarter stalls after Brian Cushing gets to Andy Dalton for another Texans sack. Once again Mike Nugent is sent out for a long field goal try.
This time it is good.
The Texans maneuver into field goal range at the end of the second quarter and try to add to their score. The kick sails wide right.
At the end of the first half, the Bengals lead 10 - 3.
The Texans come out in the second half attacking on the ground. After a big run from Arian Foster, Ryan Mallett scrambles in for the score.
The Bengals answer right back. A long completion to A.J. Green sets Giovani Bernard up on the goal line for an easy run in.
The Texans next drive continues their running attack as Foster finds a crease for a big gain.
At the end of the third quarter the Bengals lead 17 - 10.
The Texans drive stalls and instead of attempting a 4th down conversion, they settle for a field goal try.
It's good.
The Bengals squash any hope the Texans have as they continue to run the ball and convert first downs. Then, Bernard finds a hole and takes one into the endzone shutting the door on any comeback hopes the Texans had.
The Bengals continue their winning ways, topping the Texans with a score of 24 - 13.
