Vontaze Burfict misses Bengals practice; Unlikely to go vs. Texans

The Bengals won't have Vontaze Burfict or Margus Hunt against the Texans.

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to wait for the return of Pro Bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict to their slowly-improving defense, but they'll likely be waiting another week.

Burfict missed Friday's final pre-Texans practice, meaning he hasn't practiced since getting a knee scope in Week 9, and he's not expected to play Sunday at Houston. He'll likely be listed as "out" on the team's final injury report.

Running back Giovani Bernard, who missed the past three games with a hip injury, practiced Friday for the third straight day; he looks good to go Sunday.

Defensive end Margus Hunt sat Friday after not practicing Wednesday or Thursday either, and he's expected to miss Sunday's game while dealing with an ankle injury that knocked him out of the Week 11 win at New Orleans.

Fellow DE Wallace Gilbery did practice Friday after missing Wednesday and going limited Thursday. He looks ready to play Sunday while dealing with a back injury.
