Vontaze Burfict, Margus Hunt miss Bengals practice; Several more dealing with illness

The Bengals likely won't have Margus Hunt or Vontaze Burfict vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bengals hit the field Thursday morning for an early practice before heading out for Thanksgiving. As has been the case for the past four weeks, linebacker Vontaze Burfict was not on the field, and as was the case in the past four games, he probably won't play this week at Tampa Bay.

As for Margus Hunt, he continues to be held out with an ankle injury. The second-year defensive end missed last week after suffering the injury during the Week 11 win over New Orleans. He needs to get in a full practice Friday to have any hope of playing Sunday, which looks doubtful to happen.

As for others out Thursday, Andrew Whitworth got a veteran's rest day, while Greg Little and Nico Johnson were held out with illnesses. Adam Jones returned after sitting out Wednesday, as did Mohamed Sanu, who also was/is dealing with an illness. The same is true with long snapper Clark Harris, who missed Wednesday but practiced fully Thursday.

It's safe to say there's a virus spreading around the team.
