Leon Hall in NFL concussion protocol; Kevin Zeitler conditioning at Bengals practice

Cornerback Darqueze Dennard was also back at Bengals practice on Monday.

The Bengals escaped Sunday's win over the Jaguars without any serious injuries, but starting cornerback Leon Hall may not be ready for the Browns on Thursday Night Football after suffering a concussion.

Hall was not present at Bengals practice Monday, as he is now undergoing the league's mandated policy for dealing with concussions. He got hit in the head late in the game in a collision with safety George Iloka. It was called a head injury initially, but he's now undergoing the NFL's concussion protocol.

With just four days between Sunday's game and Thursday's showdown with Cleveland, the short turnaround will probably force Hall to sit this one out.

As for starting right guard Kevin Zeitler, he and linebacker Rey Maualuga were doing conditioning work Monday. The odds of them playing Thursday are slim, but this is a nice sign that they are close to returning.

Cornerback Darqueze Dennard was also back at practice Monday. It's possible he gets an extensive amount of snaps if he's able to play Thursday with Hall possibly being out.
