The Bengals have made a pair of moves on their practice squad on Monday. After the Jaguars signed linebacker Khairi Fortt off Cincinnati's practice squad, there was one spot to fill. But there were two available after tight end Kevin Green was released from the practice squad.
With two vacancies, the Bengals filled them with linebacker Justin Jackson and tight end Jake Murphy. Both players were on NFL rosters before the final 53-man cutdown, and Murphy has spent some time on another practice squad.
Jackson (6-0, 232) entered the NFL this past May as a college free agent with Detroit. He was with Detroit and Minnesota in the preseason and was waived by the Vikings on Aug. 30.
Murphy (6-4, 252) entered the NFL this past May as a college free agent with Oakland and was waived on Aug. 30. He was on the Miami practice squad from Sept. 30 through Oct. 28. He declared for the draft as a junior this past year, and CBS Sports projected him as a fifth-round pick.
Here are some highlights of Murphy's.
