The Bengals managed to escape with a 14-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Mike Evans was mostly quiet in this one.The rookie star has been tearing the league up, as he'd caught six touchdowns in his previous four games coming into Week 13.
However, the Bengals were able to keep him in check, holding Evans to just four catches for 49 yards and no scores. The Bengals used all three of their veteran cornerbacks of Adam Jones, Leon Hall and Terence Newman to stop him, but it was mostly Newman who got the 1-on-1 matchups with Evans.
Though Newman won the box-score battle, Evans utilized some punishing blocks, including this chokeslam of Newman while run blocking.
